Author's Statement I'm a first year Environmental Studies major and I plan on minoring in History as well. I chose to do my paper on female circumcision because it shocked me when I first heard about it in my Human Sexuality class last quarter, yet I also found it very interesting. I think that there needs to be more awareness of this issue, since for the most part it was a hidden problem in other parts of the world like Africa, but now many immigrants are bringing its practice into the U.S., along with its dangers. |
